The grandeur of the country's largest alpine lake is taken in on foot as the 7th Annual Lake Tahoe Marathon winds through the Tahoe Basin, climbing to points as high as 6,900 feet Sunday, October 13.
Considered one of the nation's most beautiful runs, the Lake Tahoe Marathon attracts world-class and recreational athletes to participate in a 26.2 mile run starting at Commons Beach in Tahoe City early Sunday morning with runners heading down the West Shore to the finish line at Pope Beach in South Lake Tahoe.
