Cristie Kerr says it very matter-of-factly:
"Nobody is more patriotic than me."
That isn't too much of a stretch. Her father is a Vietnam veteran. Her grandfather was in the Army. Her sister married a Green Beret.
And if that isn't enough, Kerr lives with her boyfriend, Marine Capt. Robb Sucher, just off the Marine base in Twentynine Palms, Calif. Kerr, who is also sponsored by the Marines, might be the only LPGA player who practices at a military golf course on her off weeks.
Yes, representing the United States in this weekend's Solheim Cup is quite a big deal for Kerr.
