SAN DIEGO - The San Francisco Giants, fresh off losing an opportunity to shove the Dodgers out of the wild-card race, flew in the wee hours and arrived in Milwaukee mid-morning. They man-handled the Brewers.
The Dodgers awakened mid-morning and drove down I-5, an uneventful prelude to their game other than the fact Eric Karros' tire blew out 45 miles north of the city. The Dodgers were pushed around Qualcomm Stadium.
