On her new album, "Kissin Time," Marianne Faithfull invites those who viewed her as a mere Rolling Stones sycophant to kiss off.
The track in question, the deliciously elegant yet completely bratty and dirty rocker "Sliding Through Life On Charm," includes such lyrics as, "I am a muse, not a mistress, not a whore" and "I was only trying to please, I never got any royalties." The 55-year-old Brit, who lived here briefly in the 1980s and plays the Paradise tomorrow night, goes on to reminisce about her oft-copied style and her much-envied romance with Mick Jagger in the '60s and early '70s.
