SpeechPearl 8.0 is the successor to Philips' telephony speech engine, SpeechPearl 2000, containing new functionality to ease application development and integration, increase accuracy and improve application usability.
SpeechPearl enables IVR systems to understand natural speech. SpeechPearl's open grammar' functionality allows natural language understanding for the caller and easy application development for the system administrator. Support of both open and closed grammars allows for maximum flexibility and easy migration from a closed-grammar application to an application with open scope.
