Sturgis, S.D. -- A short stalk across the prairie the other day left a month's supply of cactus needles in my hands, elbows, knees and other parts of my anatomy not yet explored.
This is the essence of antelope hunting: You hurt. Cactus wounds are a given. One does not pursue an antelope without cactus pain.
