Jim Collier says that Restaurant Brands is optimistic it can revive the fortunes of the Pizza Hut network in Victoria. The New Zealand firm acquired the network in May 2002 for $A11.8 million. Collier made his comments in the week ending 20 September 2002 during the release of Restaurant Brands' results for the latest quarter. The company earned sales of $NZ94 million, up 17.7 per cent. Its KFC New Zealand sales totalled $NZ54.1 million, its Pizza Hut New Zealand sales increased 12.4 per cent to $NZ24.1 million, while its Starbucks Coffee sales rose 37.8 per cent to $NZ6.9 million.
