CHAMPAIGN - Aaron Brooks did what neither Daunte Culpepper of Minnesota nor Michael Vick of Atlanta could do: He beat the Bears.
Brooks, in his second year as the starting quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, threw 3 touchdown passes and ran for another Sunday, giving the Bears their first loss of the season in a 29-23 come-from-behind decision.
Make that come from way behind.
The Bears had a 20-0 lead after just 18 minutes, and it took Brooks all of 19 minutes to erase it. Sure, the Bears helped, with a fumbled kickoff and some defensive mistakes, but a good quarterback takes advantage ...
