WELSH Liberal Democrats yesterday hinted for the first time they could form a coalition with Plaid Cymru after next year's Assembly elections.
The party's Assembly group leader and Deputy First Minister Mike German will address delegates at the Lib Dems' annual conference in Brighton today.
He will use his speech to claim the Lib Dems are the driving force behind the Government in Wales. It is the party's contribution, in areas such as student finance, that make Wales distinct from the rest of the UK.
