The market of washing machines in the country is not as wide as that of other electronic products like TV sets and refrigerators. TV sets have become one of important household goods in Indonesia. So are refrigerators. In middle class household the washing is done by house maids with relatively cheap pay. With low pay for a house maid, the price of washing machine looks too expensive for middle class households.
