Mel Boldt is selling for $28.7 million in cash the business that he bought 30 years ago for $125,000.
Laird Technologies, which has its North American headquarters in Pennsylvania, Monday acquired Schaumburg-based Boldt Metronics International. Laird Technologies, a division of London-based Laird Group PLC, has about 1,000 employees worldwide and sales of $140 million last year.
