TOKYO, Sept 26 Asia Pulse - Sales of consumer electronics and appliances at the 2,909 stores affiliated with the Nippon Electric Big-Stores Association (NEBA) in August showed their first year-on-year increase in 17 months, gaining 1.1 per cent to reach 204.4 billion yen (US$1.67 billion).
Seasonal and big-ticket products such as refrigerators and air conditioners led the way, encouraged by particularly hot weather in late July and early August.
