The Coastal Fairfield County Convention and Visitor Bureau has confirmed its first international tour series beginning in 2003.
The British tour will bring more than 1,000 room nights, or roughly 2,000 people, to the region during January, February, March, November and December of 2003.
The visit is referred to as a "hub and spoke" tour because, with a base at the renovated Holiday Inn in Bridgeport, the British groups will use the renovated Holiday Inn in Bridgeport as a hub to visit New York, Boston and Newport, R.I.. They can also visit Bridgeport sites such as the Barnum Museum and the Polka Dot Theatre.
