PIZZA HUT'S PLAY MAKER
Steve Reinemund is posing for a photo, leaning one-handed on the service counter of a local Pizza Hut. Spotlights, cables, reflectors and other photographic debris block the door to his left, forcing customers to walk around to the opposite door. But one man tries the blocked door, peers in, then gets back in his car and drives off. That's all Reinemund needs to see. After that, every time someone nears the door, Reinemund breaks his pose, rushes over and opens it. "Hi! Come on in! Watch your step!" he says, steering customers carefully through the maze.
