AS LOVE affairs go, they're about as unlikely an item as, say, John Major and Edwina Currie.
But just as the world was coming to terms with that shocking liaison, so Tiger Woods was expressing his previously-concealed desire for the Ryder Cup.
Last week, Woods recoiled in horror at the idea of changing his eating arrangements to fit in with the tournament's schedule.
But yesterday he gave the impression a romantic, candle-lit meal would not be out of place.
