It's days like today that Jerome Wright lives for. If only his best friend could be with him.
The Antelope Valley College wide receiver enters the 7 p.m. Foothill Conference opener against visiting Desert needing just four receptions to set the program's all-time catches record. In all likelihood, Wright will own that mark by the end of the first quarter.
But potential records, and life in general, just aren't the same without teammate Kevin Morris, who was shot and killed in August 2001 at a
party the two, then freshmen, were attending.
