SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- The Institute for Health and Productivity Management (IHPM), announced today its opposition to efforts by managed care organizations to make second generation non-sedating antihistamines (NSAs) less accessible to consumers. Several large health insurers, including UnitedHealth Group and Humana, are considering whether to end prescription drug coverage for all second-generation, non-sedating antihistamines (NSAs), or raise the patient co-payment to the most expensive tier, if one or more of them are sold over the counter.
