DURING a six-week project this summer, eight students from the White Plains Youth Bureau gained an array of skills to guide them through their professional and artistic lives. The students participated in every phase of creating an exhibition of full-color photographs of downtown White Plains entitled "Beyond 2002: Downtown White Plains in Transition." The project was a partnership between the Westchester Arts Council and the White Plains Youth Bureau.
The eight participating students, all White Plains residents, ranging from ages 14 to 18, took a series of photographs that reflect new building developments, as well as the faces that give the city its vitality. ...
