Somewhere in Morocco, an engineering student who was going to finish his degree this year at Minnesota State University, Mankato, sits and waits.
When classes ended in June he went home for summer break and immediately applied for a visa to re-enter the United States in August for his senior year. But permission never came.
He isn't alone. From Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh to Malaysia, young men who were bound for Minnesota colleges and universities this fall are stuck at home.
