DALLAS -- The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation maintains its recommendation that women age 20 years and older practice monthly breast self-examination (BSE), despite recently published findings of a 10-year Chinese study that maintain BSE shows little impact on decreasing the mortality rate from breast cancer. The study appears in the October 2 issue of the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
