When I was asked to review this book about Delhi, which is also my home-town, I expected little more than a stereotypical representation of India's historic capital. However, this volume goes far beyond providing a cliched commentary on Delhi. Rather, the volume addresses some of Delhi's most frequent descriptions, at the centre of which lie slums, pollution, homelessness, migrants, and old monuments, from completely new and different perspectives.
