Oct. 2--ARLINGTON, Texas --Linda DiMario has said she wanted to rally the troops for tourism in Arlington.
Tuesday morning DiMario, the head of the Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau, donned an army helmet, waved a riding crop and talked about being engaged in an economic war.
Her rally call was preceded by a clip of George C. Scott in the opening scene of the movie Patton, in which the general talks about advancing on the enemy and how Americans like a good fight. DiMario likened Arlington's push for visitors to a fight.
