Oct. 3--Thomas Built Buses and Triad officials broke ground Wednesday to celebrate the start of a $39.7 million plant expansion.
In keeping with the theme of the day - "The future is riding with us" - they were joined by James "Wally" Russell, a 43-year company veteran, and Ellery Allonier, a third-grader at Northwood Elementary School.
As they tossed dirt at the 90-acre Fairfield Road site, the group also symbolically poured cement on the High Point roots of the school bus manufacturer. They also laid to rest any lingering worries about the future of the ...
