STAMFORD, Conn. -- The first OxyContin-based lawsuit to be brought against Purdue Pharma L.P., the Stamford, Connecticut-based distributor of OxyContin(R) (oxycodone HCl controlled-release) Tablets, has been dismissed by the plaintiffs and so ordered by an Ohio federal court. The case, Burton v. Purdue Pharma L. P., et al., had been pending in the United States District Court for Southern District of Ohio and was set to go to trial next month until Wednesday's dismissal.
