WASHINGTON -- The sale of the "Party Animals," the whimsical elephants and donkeys that have adorned the streets of Washington, D.C. since April, began today with the start of an on-line auction of approximately 191 full-size and 39 miniature versions of the sculptures.
A live auction of 42 full-size and 16 miniature Party Animals will be held on October 24 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in northwest Washington, D.C. Mayor Anthony Williams will attend the auction.
