PITTSBURGH -- The Jewish community of Pittsburgh is younger, more stable, and includes more newcomers than previously assumed, according to a new study completed by the United Jewish Federation of Pittsburgh (UJF).

The "2002 Pittsburgh Jewish Community Study," released today (Oct. 3), found that 48 percent of the Jewish community of Pittsburgh is under the age of 40, and of those age 22 to 39, 40 percent have moved to the city in the past 10 years.
