"Fox, would you like to spend the night at my house?" asked Bear.
"OK," said Fox. He did not tell Bear that he had never spent the night away from home before. "I will get my pajamas."
Fox and Bear ate popcorn and told ghost stories. Bear's stories were scary. Fox felt a little nervous when he climbed the ladder to the top bunk bed.
Bear turned off the lights.
"It is very dark up here," Fox said to himself. He missed the star-shaped night-light he had in his bedroom. He peeked over the side of the bunk bed. He couldn't even see Bear down below.
Suddenly a light shined in the window. It moved along the wall and disappeared.
