It seems Jane Danson has a thing about uniforms. She's about to swap the medical gown she wears playing a nursing practitioner in A&E for a WPC's outfit when she joins top crime drama The Bill in a couple of weeks' time.
As Gemma Osbourne, who is transferred from traffic duties to work at Sun Hill, Jane is part of a new drive to feature sparkier storylines and win higher ratings. So it's no surprise that her character is involved in some pretty controversial stuff.
