SENATE APPROPRIATIONS APPROVES DEFENSE ALLOCATION GUIDANCE
The Senate Appropriations Committee approved on Tuesday budgetary guidance for its individual subcommittees, which included defense 051 topline figures of $271.5 billion in budget authority and $284.9 billion in outlays, Senate Defense Appropriation Subcommittee sources told Defense Daily yesterday.
Senate Appropriations Chairman Robert Byrd (D-W.V.) said that his recommendation basically splits the Senate Budget Resolution and the Senate Armed Services Committee authorization bill.
