The Mozambique market for paint and coatings is expected to rise over the next several years as growth in gross domestic product continues to rise. With heavy foreign investments in industrial projects, and a large government budget aimed at social projects like housing, at least these two segments of the industry should see gains over the short term. Auto paint, limited to the after market segment, should increase more slowly, since per-capita income, which is on the rise, still remains quite low.
