Kazakh deputies request U.S. aid to resolve AES issues

UST-KAMENOGORSK. Oct 7 (Interfax) - Deputies from the Lower House of the Kazakh parliament have sent a letter to the U.S. Congress with a request for help in resolving certain issues connected with the activity of the U.S. energy company AES in the republic.

In particular, in the letter, the text of which was been made available to Interfax, the deputies have asked for help to ensure that AES management meets its obligations for work at two hydroelectric plants - Ust-Kamenogorsk and Shulbin (both in East Kazakhstan region).
