Oct. 7--NEW BERN, N.C.--The N.C. Fisheries Association has not yet decided whether to get involved with a threatened international shrimp trade lawsuit by fishermen organizations in eight states.
Shrimping and government representatives from states along the south Atlantic and Gulf coasts have already met once with lawyers to discuss whether to file a lawsuit against Asian countries accusing them of dumping shrimp.
Dumping is when another country subsidizes a product then allows it to be sold in the United States at below market prices. ...
