GRACE YUNG HAD just what the judges wanted. Her entry in the 2002 Gracious Living Homearama Backyard Landscape Contest had it all: simplicity, flow, easy maintenance and a selection of plants well suited to the Hampton Roads area.
In her first try at a contest of this type, Yung emerged a winner.
A native of Hong Kong who went to high school, college and graduate school in Altanta, Yung has lived with her husband and two children in Virginia Beach's Middle Plantation neighborhood for six years. Her husband, Ken, is a finance professor at Old Dominion University.
