Oct. 8--CINCINNATI--In a televised address that for the first time detailed for the American public President Bush's case against Saddam Hussein, the president declared that Iraq is a unique, immediate and deadly threat to the United States and must be disarmed even if that means using military force to overthrow the Iraqi leader.
The "only certain means" of defusing the Iraqi threat is to overthrow Hussein, Bush said. But in an effort to ease the concerns of Americans and allies, Bush said that he is open to trying other means first and that if he must act militarily, he pledged it ...
