LOS ANGELES _ Anyone who has watched more than the occasional episode of TLC's cult hit "Trading Spaces" knows that ceiling fans have no right to exist _ at least in the plans of the show's designers.
Airing daily on TLC (and during prime-time on Saturday), "Trading Spaces" takes two sets of neighbors and assigns each a designer, one-half of a carpenter and $1,000 to completely redo a room in each other's house or apartment _ while having no control what happens back home.
Season two featured 90 homes, 180 neighbors, one host (Paige Davis), two carpenters (Ty Pennington and Amy Wynn Pastor), six designers (Doug Wilson, Frank Bielec, Genevieve Gorder, ...
