ADELAIDE, Australia _ Apparently we've got it all wrong. The Australians don't put shrimps on the barbie, they don't insist on "G'day" and they didn't all descend from convicts.

What we do have right is that they're an infectiously friendly lot who just love it when the Yanks come to visit _ even if we don't speak the same language.

They might put prawns on the barbie, but are more likely to sizzle up some sausages, "G'day" is mostly for fellow Aussies, and South Australia (one of Australia's eight states) was settled by folk in search of religious freedom.

While much is known about Melbourne and Sydney, the city that's really Down Under, ...
