BROCKTON -- Matt Antonelli scored St. John's Prep's first three touchdowns, one of them on an 85-yard pass interception, to pace the Eagles to a 35-6 win over Brockton in a battle of EMass gridiron powers last night.
The Boxers, hoping to avenge a loss to Xaverian last week, fell to 2-2 while the Eagles improved to 4-0 and cemented their position atop Bay State high school football.
Jonathan Goff scored on a 2-yard run in the third quarter to push Prep's lead to 28-0. Brockton finally got on the board when David LaFontant got the Boxers' sole touchdown on a 10-yard scamper to cut it to 28-6.
