MADRID, Oct. 9 (AScribe Newswire) -- According to data presented today at the 5th European Congress on Epileptology, the anti-epileptic drug Trileptal (R) (oxcarbazepine, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation), when used as monotherapy (used alone), was associated with a reduction in generalized tonic-clonic seizures (GTCS). A meta-analysis of data from five multi-center, double-blind, active-control trials involving 266 patients (149 Trileptal, 117 active control) over an 11-14 month period was conducted.
