Pieces of World Trade Center to be Dedicated At Opening Ceremony

A group of 30 New York City firefighters are gearing up for their October 19 departure for New Zealand to participate in the 2002 World Firefighters Games.

In honor of firefighters around the world who have been killed in the line of duty, this year's games have been named the Memorial Games, and will open with the dedication of a commemorative sculpture built from three pieces of the World Trade Center.
