Oct. 10--PANAMA CITY, Fla.--The secret is out.
Players in the know always have been aware of the quality of public golf available on the Emerald Coast -- particularly in Bay County. Now everyone else will know, too. In the November issue of Golf Digest magazine, Panama City will be ranked the third best U.S. metropolitan area for public golf. Fort Walton Beach is No. 9. Jamestown, N.Y., is No. 1 this year, followed by Glens Falls, N.Y. The issue is to hit newsstands on Tuesday.
