SPINNERS SPEND TO BOOST QUALITY
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- American yarn spinners, moving their operations toward world-class manufacturing say they're looking for new technology that will improve the quality of their products.
Automation and materials handling technologies will be high on their priority shopping lists at the International Textile Machinery Exhibition (ITMA) next year, or wherever they look for advancements.
Higher production speeds won't be ignored, of course, but yarn manufacturers didn't put heavy emphasis on higher speeds when asked by DNR about the type of equipment they are considering for future purchases.
