Since 1993, the face that lured business to Norwalk has been that of its marketing director, James Banks. But Banks announced he will resign after suffering a fall earlier this year. "I'm 67, and I've decided it's time to stop working and start playing," he said. "I'm looking forward to my retirement."
His journey as the city's marketing director began when the city decided it needed an economic development strategy to reduce vacancy rates in office and manufacturing space.
