Suppose you are undergoing rehabilitation for some medical condition. The doctor comes in and asks you, "Do you want drugs or acupuncture?" In some parts of the country, that scenario is happening right now.
Rehabilitation is becoming an increasing common reason why people seek medical care. Chronic disease can be debilitating and the treatments (primarily drugs taken over a long period of time) can have significant side effects.
