CHEESECAKE Factory Inc. is putting its upscale casual dining unit, Grand Lux Cafes, on hold.
Company officials said they want to fine-tune both the menu and operations at the three restaurants currently on line, including one at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles.
Grand Lux Cafes, which are a higher-end version of the popular Cheesecake Factory restaurants (and are, on average, twice as big) have been doing well, according to chief financial officer Gerald F. Deitchle. But he said the company wants to concentrate on its Cheesecake Factory ...
