The Colgate University men's ice hockey team opens its season Friday night in Omaha, Neb., as the Raiders take on the University of Nebraska-Omaha in the Maverick Stampede Tournament at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. No. 3 Denver and No. 7 Michigan State are also participating in the tournament.
Colgate and host Nebraska-Omaha will face-off at 9 p.m., while Denver and Michigan State play at 6 p.m. The winner of the Colgate-Nebraska game will play the winner of the Denver-Michigan State game at 9 p.m. on Saturday. The losers will play at 6 p.m. Saturday. The tournament marks the season opener for all four teams.
