If, during these often hectic days, you feel the need of some quiet company, an ideal retreat is the annual picnic and reunion of greyhounds in Virginia Beach.
Greyhounds are the gentlest, most considerate of dogs.
In behavior they are aristocrats of the canine world, aiming only to please.
Most greyhounds have been doomed to run themselves to exhaustion in racing on professional dog tracks.
When not running, a greyhound, bred to race on a track, is doomed to languish most of its off time cramped in a box barely big enough in which to stand up and turn around.
