Animals need to eat right to stay healthy, just like we do. Here's what's in their nutritious meals.
Masai giraffes use their long tongues to strip the leaves from branches that are beyond the reach of other browsers. Their diet is supplemented by plants, vines, herbs, flowers, and fruits.
The chimpanzees' diet is composed mainly of leaves, tree bark, a variety of ripe fruits, as many as twenty plant species a day, and termites. These animals spend about four hours a day eating. Although chimpanzees enjoy a meal of yams and bananas, they'll eat almost anything you eat, such as lasagna, salsa, pickles, and lemons.
