ANOTHER day, another demonstration in Venezuela's capital. As The Economist went to press, thousands of opponents of Hugo Chavez were to take to the streets to demand the president's resignation. For a while after a failed coup attempt last April against Mr Chavez and his "Bolivarian revolution", it had seemed that the president and his opponents might seek a reconciliation.
