Upon further review, advocates of the Eden Alternative would like, well, further review of their model of long-term care giving.
A recent University of Louisville School of Medicine study found that clinical outcomes didn't improve a year after a nursing home adopted the Eden model.
Fairly judging progressive models of long-term care, however, may require more time and extensive interviews with staff and residents, Eden backers said.
