Good Will, Good Cookies
WELL, friends and Romans, here is my annual plea once again: give something of yourself this Christmas. Bake, embroider, or make scrimshaw, but for goodness' sake, do something for others to celebrate the birth of our Saviour. For Christmas is the time for giving. However, in choosing what to give, do bear in mind the foolishness of giving objects to people who already have everything they want or need. To my mind, the best gift is a plate of cookies made by your own hands--since they will be consumed, they create no clutter in the recipient's home; and your effort will make them more special than anything you could buy.
